Wedding Shower!!

The wedding shower was so great this past weekend in Johnstown! I had a great time and all the girls were so helpful, even Morgan and Ariel were big big helps! Brandon and I got a lot of great gifts, now we'll only have to figure out how to get them into our place! The food and cake was delicious and Tasha's muvee she made for Brandon and I was unbelievable. Thank goodness I watched it the night before because I was a mess about it, haha! (I've watched it about a million times since then, thank you very much).

So that was the official kick off to the wedding festivities and we are coming up on even more stuff on the weeks to come!! Take a look at the "Add to your calendar" dates on the left side of the blog, to make sure that you are squared away with anything coming up in the near future.

Out of towners: Let me know if you are wondering about travel for the plunge and need some advice. Don't stress about finding a place to sleep, we are making accomodations at the Studer house, and by accomodations I mean tents and air mattresses-yay! It's going to be fun!!

Ladies, dresses, dresses, and accessories. Keep me posted. Congratulations to the following for finding dresses already!
Kayla
Tasha
Kara
Karpy
Katie
Stefanie

Gentlemen, we need measurements by the plunge, OR you all can take a little field trip up there to get measured. Preferably not after drinking, but whatever works. (hah!)

B and I are getting SO EXCITED!! about the upcoming events. We only now have to think of way to incorporate Lola into the ceremony...hahaha! just kidding.

cheers!

113 Days to go until Mr. & Mrs.

Big Updates:

TUXES: Will need measurements in by Sept. 1
Out-of-towners: Look for measurement cards in your plunge invites. Take the card to any department store's suit section and ask to be measured. Write measurements on the card, give to me at the plunge:)
Johnstowners: Go to The Bridal Suite of Johnstown (in the Ollie's Plaze on Scalp) and get measured. Mention that you need fitted for the Adams/Studer Wedding by Sept. 1

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES: Final Dress Decisions by August 1 (to leave time for alterations and accessory shopping)
Ladies, everyone (except for Karpy-yea girl!!) has been having trouble with finding red dresses...ughhh. Haha, its kind of funny because I chose this because I thought it was going to be easy...geez was I wrong. See below a list of dress websites where I hope some of you will get lucky:) Let me know if you have questions and/or want me to come with on a shopping trip? I don't know what city I'll be in at that time, but I'd love to go!!

146 days to go!

Well, we're back from vacation and have a mountain of things on our to do list. All very exciting things for the wedding though, so that's good. Vacation was a blast and we drank, and laughed, and danced too much. It was so nice to just get away together and with Brandon's parents and relax. We slept days away in the sun, and have (finally!) the tans to prove it. heh. We snorkeled, bottom-fished, got traveler's sickness, drank mamajuana, bartered, went to bed early, and read to our hearts' content. It was a great trip...but its back to business now.

Brandon and I will be moving to Erie, PA within the next month. We decided to spend another year as renters, but we're still going to get a dog. hehhe. We hope to be moved out of Punxsy by June 15th, so everyone keep their fingers crossed!!

Hopefully all the ladies out there got their shower invitations...so that is on. My mom also sent out an email with the gift basket list, so if anyone has questions about what that's all about; let me, kayla, tasha, my mom, or marianne know and we'll fill ya in!

Now for the breakdown:
GROOMSMEN:
1. Brandon and I are going to the tux place this week, so news is coming soon about what you'll be wearing and where to send/get your measurements. Keep your ears open.
2. Juice and Koch are working on the bachelor party stuff. So get excited:)

BRIDESMAIDS:
1. I know that some people have been struggling with finding red dresses. I am expecting that more red dresses will be coming out as the fall line is debuted in early summer...so no worries, we still have plenty of time.
2. In terms of accessories: You are on your own to choose your own style and what you are comfortable with. My only request is that both your shoes and jewelry are GOLD. Feel free to go as strappy, or clunky, or funky, or flat, or high as you like. Just make it gold.
3. Anyone who is traveling for the shower and needs a) a place to stay or b) wants to come in a day early to play/help get ready, let me know...i would love it!!

ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY:
Save the date: August 16 for the Bridal Party Plunge at Brandon's parents' house. You are required (heh) to attend. Swimsuits are a must and there will be plenty of food, drinks, games, and fun. Invitations to come soon.

175 Days and counting...

Alright, big things happening....here is the run-down:

1. We found out that Brand is going to be the DM for the Erie stores, which means....WE ARE MOVING TO ERIE!! We are going to check out houses tomorrow and hopefully find one close to the lake (for B) and cute (for me). We need to be all moved in by June. um, riight.
2. I got a promotion! yay! As of May 1, I will be the NorthEast Project Manager for Scantron. I will get to work from home and then also do some travelling to customer's school sites throughout the northeast. Think Michigan-Maryland-Connecticut-Maine and all in between. Sooo, i'm going to be in California from May1-9 figuring out how to do my new job.
3. We are going on vacation with Brandon's parents from May 17-24 to -where else?-the Dominican Republic! Hopefully we'll finally get a tan, because its getting embarassing.
4. We finished our Religious Marriage Prep counseling and it was fine. Brand even said so. (heh)
5. Hope everyone got your save-the-date, if you didn't its because i don't have an up-to-date address of yours and that's a problem.
6. I will be posting pics of the new house whenever we find one, hahha.

I think that is all the new news. Will keep you all posted on the house and any other wedding related things to pop up. Maids-keep looking for dresses and send me pics. Men-we are looking into tuxes this coming month...i'll keep you posted.
Cheers!

  • We finished taking our save the date pics and I am going to be getting them printed and sent out this week. Look for them in the mail...i know, finally, right?

  • Brandon and I start our Catholic Marriage Prep classes this thursday. wahoo, heh.

7 Month Mark

Well, the months are flying by and B and I are really getting so excited about all the plans and events coming up in the next few months. Wanted to touch base and update everyone on our crazy lives and wedding plans!

LIVES:
Brand and I are still gypsies and will continue to be until June. He is currently working outside of Washington, PA with ALDI and then will relocate to Monroeville in early April. He still likes it and he is doing really well. He is seriously looking to buy a motorcycle within the next few weeks and can hardly wait for Thunder in the Valley this summer.

I am still working for Scantron but not travelling nearly as much, thank goodness! It has given me some time to get wedding stuff done as well as do a little nanny-ing for a family friend. I am either in a hotel with B, at my parent's house, or in Punxsy throughout the week, so my suitcase has been taking a beating lately. Kayla and I are organizing a benefit concert for Fight For The Children (a non-profit I volunteer for) at 4 Corners Bar/Restaurant with 3 bands on April 18th from 8-midnight. If you'll be in Johnstown that day, come please!

WEDDING:
Ceremony time has been moved to one o'clock in the afternoon to accomodate enough time for pictures afterwards with less rushing.

We are still looking for an organist for the ceremony and only slightly stressing about it.

My mom, Marianne, and Gram Studer are working on finalizing the shower details. Please look forward to emails/calls from them in the upcoming weeks with the specifics. Remember the date is July 27th from noon to two.

Kayla, Tasha, Katie, and Karpy are the bachelorette party patrol. They will also be sending emails out in the future about details:) Yay, fun!! No word on date yet, but these girls have got it together, so no worries! Juice and Koch are planning the bachelor party, boys; so how they are getting the word out, I don't know...but EVERYONE expect an email from me with the entire wedding party and their emails very soon!!!

Save the dates will be finished this weekend, please see the email (that i'm sending to you, today!) about updated addresses.

B and I finished our entire Registry this past weekend! Start spreading the word that we are registered at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Crate&Barrel.

Besitos and we miss you.

8 month mark...

Wedding updates:
Flowers: Brandon and I met with the florist and got everything settled. We are really excited about it. It will be a little different, but really pretty. I can't wait to see it all together. The flower girls are going to wear flower halos and it is going to be so adorable.
Cake: We have talked about switching the cake up a little more than what I had previously posted. We are meeting with baker in April and will have details to come. For dessert we are tossing around the idea of serving pie instead of cake (staying within the fall theme) but have not decided anything in stone yet. What do you think?
Invitations: I have been working with some different ideas and have decided to go with a leaf theme for the invitations. Really simple, but cute and along with the theme of things. I am doing them myself, and will be working on them over the next couple of months, yay for something to do!
Save-the-dates: Our checklist has announced its time to get those together, so B and I have been throwing some ideas around. Look forward to them coming around in the near future!
Bridesmaids: Remember any RED hue of dress and gold shoes and jewelry (both your choice). And that is Gold-Gold, not the bronzey-gold (thanks Karpy for clarifying! heh). Please let me know when you get your dress and I would love to see pics!

Brandon updates: Finished with his Washington, PA training and will be in Jamestown, NY for 6 weeks. I told him that IF he shoots a turkey, we can incorporate the feathers in the groomsmen's boutonnieres. He is too happy and desperate now to shoot one. hah. He's still totally handsome too, by the way.

Tabitha updates: Still working for Scantron and is back and forth to NYC every few weeks. I am looking into the process for switching my NY teaching liscense to PA so that next year, wherever we may be, I can get my own classroom again; I really miss the kids.

Miss you all and love you! We are both so excited for all the upcoming events and to be with all of you!!

268 folks...

Hi my loves,

So we have been making really great headway on the wedding plans. My mom, Marianne, and Kayla, and I went to visit the amazing florists last wednesday and it was a blast. We were there for 2.5 hours and it took awhile for them to get what I had in mind, but they finally came around. They are working on coming up with exact bouquets and will get back to me. What is definite is we will have three different kinds of bridesmaids bouquets and the flower girls are wearing hair halos (of flowers). My bouquet will be a mixture of everyone's bouquet flowers. From what we talked about it, I love it. yay!

I also went on a cake tasting with my grandma and brand's gram. It was fun and we booked the baker. We haven't made a for sure decision about what it will look like with the exception of it definitely being three tiers of round cakes and beading at the bottom of each tier. Like this:

...And instead of those flowers on this cake, it will be berries (like in the bouquets). I want it to be simple and pretty.

I also got my wedding day shoes. I saw the pic in a bridal magazine and fell in love. I got them at David's Bridal and love them. The david's bridal lady gave me a catalog of their most recent dresses, so if anyone wants to check it out, let me know and i'll get it to you!

We are in the works talking to a DJ and getting it all worked out. If we could just get that settled, I would feel a little less anxious.

Brandon and I spent a whole day registering for gifts at crate&barrel online and bed, bath & beyond. All we have to do now is actually go to bb&b and register for our sheets and towels, you kind of have to feel that stuff to choose it, ya know.

Talked to the church and have determined that the ceremony will start at 2pm and reception will begin at 5pm at the fire hall. Brandon and I signed up for our religious counseling in April, woohoo!! He is really looking forward to that...hah.

As I posted earlier, all girls are welcome to stay at my parent's house on the wedding eve. We are going to have the hairdresser at our house on the wedding morn along with snacks and mimosas. Kayla says shes going to make a sweet CD including "Goin' to the Chapel" hahh! can't wait. The hairdresser says, "$35 a head, have dry hair, and have the hairstyle in mind." word.

Other than that, I am sooooo flipping excited about the wedding and all the festivities to come. Thank you to everyone who has been putting up with my extreme giddiness!! Love you!

Happy 2008 and wedding year!

Hello and happy new year from Brandon and I. We are offically gypsies and starting out the new year with some adventure...hah! Please read on to any updates you are most interested in:

Brandon: Finally finished his in-store training in Punxsutawney (yay!). He has now moved on to his district manager training as of Dec.31st and has six weeks to learn the ins and outs in his old stomping ground of Washington, PA. He has lightened his work hours (thank goodness), is eating regularly again, and so thrilled that he will get to go to all the home W&J basketball games. After six weeks in WashPa, he will be six weeks in Jamestown, NY, still learning. Then it will be to Monroeville until the middle of May. Thus, we are gypsies leaving in hotels/out of the car until then. Romantic.

Tab: Still working with Scantron and surprisingly, cannot leave NYC no matter what. I'm scheduled to go back up for the month of January to do trainings and then possibly into February as well, if I'm needed. As of the new year, i'm trying to be fully dedicated to taking care of myself and losing so much weight that people will think i need to be committed...any support would be appreciated. (hah..only half kidding) After brandon and i get a real home that is somewhat permanent i want to get back in to teaching because i miss kids.

Wedding: invitations have been purchased and i'm doing them myself. they are pretty simple but cute. Brandon is almost finished asking all the guys, so soon we will have an offical partner list. We still don't have a DJ booked (panic ensue) but are looking and getting a lot of suggestions. I am also beginning to think about flowers...but not positive yet on anything. We have three hairdressers coming to my parents house on the day of the wedding to do our hair, all bridesmaids are welcome to stay at my mum&dad's house on wedding eve. Please do, i'll probably have insomnia and need company.

Bridesmaid Dress Deadline: August 18, 2008
*Please forward pics to me:)

Now that it is FINALLY 2008, i'm going to be really excited and squeal-ly about everything. I'm going to apologize in advance for the level of annoying-ness that i will reach, but also say thank you for your enthusiasm and patience with me. Besides, that's why i picked youns, i knew you would at least pretend to be excited about shower plans and table settings. i love you!

ps. i'm seriously considering wearing cowboy boots on the wedding day. anyone gonna try and stop me? heh, but seriously.
